Just got my Grizzly 450. I haven’t even connected my hoses yet but wanted to share photos that give some context on the size to anyone interested in getting one of these. I’m 5’11” and 165lbs. In these photos I’m sitting on the bottom of the cooler, knees bent, with my feet touching the opposite end. With my knees spread I was able to get completely submerged up to the neck and the water level was 6” below the rim so I can add more to help with that. To submerge my head I had to bend my knees completely which isn’t a problem for me and, again, adding more water will help.
I’m really happy with the cooler. I’m running a 1/2hp ActiveAqua chiller which is definitely more than I need. Right now I’m plunging at 49 degrees. Once I got the water to that temp the insulation on the cooler has held it pretty steady. With the chiller off, the water temp rose less than 2 degrees in 24 hours. The cooler is outdoors where the high temp has been in the high 60s lately.
