I was originally planning a Grizzly 400 build, but once I got the cooler downstairs into my basement, it wouldn't fit into my office or gym, so I had to go with a rigid inflatable tub. Now I see why all the Grizzly builds are in garages or outdoors 🙂 .
I used a Solstice rigid inflatable tub: Amazon.com : SOLSTICE ORIGINAL Inflatable Cold Plunge Ice Bath Tub Compatible W/ Water Chillers & Ozone Filters | Outdoor & Indoor | Inlet Outlet Connection for Accessories | Insulated Lid Hot Cold | 100 Gallon : Tools & Home Improvement
1/2in inlet/outlet - inflatable bottom and PLENTY of room. (I'm 6ft and can straighten my legs)
I used a 24v DC submersible pump with a speed controller: Amazon.com: JEREPET 800GPH 30W16FT Aquarium 24V DC Water Pump with Controller, Submersible and Inline Return Pump for Fish Tank,Aquariums,Fountains,Sump,Hydroponic,Pond,Freshwater and Marine Water Use : Everything Else
Much quieter than the Danner 900 I started with - and the Danner 900 seemed to be overkill.
I used 'cam and groove' couplers for any external connections: plastic barbed cam-and-groove hose couplings | McMaster-Carr
2.5x10 filter with shutoff valve: Amazon.com: Culligan HF-360B Standard Duty 3/4" Inlet/Outlet Whole House Filtration System, Clear : Everything Else
Active Aqua 1/4hp Chiller:
Amazon.com: Active Aqua AACH25HP Hydroponic Water Chiller Cooling System, 1/4 HP, Rated BTU per hour: 3,010, User-Friendly,Black : Home & Kitchen
I chose to build with an internal pump to minimize leaks and its a bit quieter also (plunge is in my office).
50micron pleated filter and floating bromine tabs for sanitation.
I am using the temp controller just to track the temp currently - I run the pump on a timer and the chiller only runs when the pump is on via the Master/MasterControlled power strip.
